Q: If a homeowner has already claimed $500 or more in credits through this allowance between 2006-2010 are they eligible for another credit in 2011?

A: No, a homeowner who has already taken advantage of the credit will be unable to claim new credits for improvements made during 2011.

Q: Where can I obtain the IRS form for the 2010 tax credit?

Q: Is the tax credit available for new construction also? What about vacation homes? Rental properties?

A: In 2011, tax credits are available, up to $500 total, (for existing homes that are your "principal residence" NOT new construction, vacation properties, or rental homes.)
